I'll be presenting our GoCoast 2020 Infrastructure Committee's progress at the full GoCoast 2020 meeting today. We're excited about the ideas that have surfaced thus far and I look forward to completing our work. As a brief update, we are currently formulating the criteria by which submitted projects will be judged to make sure we spend our RESTORE Act money wisely. The sand dunes outside of Swakopmund. The ecotourism industry is growing and they are doing a great job with their ecosystem conservation efforts. Namibia is the first country to include environmental conservation in their constitution.

One of my favorite visits so far took place with The King's Daughters. This is a collaborative effort where sex workers come to learn skills that will allow them to seek full time employment so they can provide for their families and get out of illegal prostitution. Fixing bikes is one of the areas in which they train. The idea was started by a widow who began teaching a Bible study for abused women. The State Department helped her with a small grant to start the bicycle shop. She has since been recognized by Secretary Clinton as one of a handful of women who are considered as leaders of the movement to liberate sex workers around the world. She was truly inspiring and had a Godly glow about her.
